Legends THE LIVING LEGENDS RIDE AGAIN !!! A number of years ago, Kyoshi Gary Lee had a dream: To bring together
the legends of martial arts to honor the individuals and celebrate their
history. With an unparalleled passion, Kyoshi Lee created the "Living
Legends". In past years, the Living Legends have celebrated the
careers and honored the accomplishments of such legends as Bob Wall,
Jim Harrison, Jerry Piddington, Eric Lee, J. Pat Burleson, Chuck Norris,
Gene Lebell, Al Dacascas, Linda Denley, Mako, Richard Norton, Alan Goldberg,
Steve Fisher, Lawrence Arthur, Tim Kirby, Ed Daniel, and Allen Steen,
along with many others. THE LIVING LEGENDS RIDE AGAIN!!! On Saturday, February 18, 2006,
at the "Battle at the Boardwalk", Atlantic City Grand Internationals
in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Kyoshi Gary Lee and the Living Legends
will hold the tenth celebrity roast/banquet. This year, the Living Legends will roast Michael DePasquale, Jr. As
an added honor, there will be a special tribute to Michael DePasquale,
Jr. Master Michael DePasquale, Jr. was quite literally born to be a Martial
Arts Master. The son of Grand Master Michael DePasquale Sr., Grandmaster
of the Yoshitsune Waza style of Ju-Jitsu, Master Michael DePasquale
Jr.’s Martial Arts career began at the early age of five, with Yoshitsune
Ju-Jitsu in which he presently holds the coveted rank of Ni Dai Soke (Heir
to the rank of Grandmaster). He has completed and has been certified
by the FBI Instructors’ program. Additional training: Bergen Community
College - Business Administration; Bomb seminar attendance; Security
Management, Inc (specialized in knife and gun disarmament); and defensive
and offensive knife techniques. Master DePasquale has also had training
in evacuation skills. In addition to training NYPD Defensive Tactics Instructors, the 1st
Division of the Armed Special Forces, Postal Police, Royal Canadian Mounted
Police, FBI Personnel and U.S. Marshals, Master DePasquale is the Founder
of the Federation of United Martial Artists (FUMA – Crusade Against
Crime and Drugs, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to pro-active
programs of education and training in crime awareness and self-defense. Master DePasquale has acted in numerous action films, created and produced
numerous anti-crime instructional videos, and written numerous martial
arts and self defense publications. Master DePasquale is President of the International Federation of Ju-Jitsuans
(I.F.O.J.J.), an international organization dedicated to promoting brotherhood
and unity throughout the Martial Arts Community. At the age of 24, he
was recognized by "Official Karate Magazine" as their ‘Martial
Arts Star of the Year’ AAU East Karate Championship (‘81). Participants and attendees at the roast include Bob Wall, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace,
Jim Harrison, John Chung, Tokey Hill, Jerry "Fastfeet" Fontanez,
Jeff Smith, Joseph Hess, Arnold DePasquale, Ken Knudsen, Joseph Bonocci, "Monster
Man" Everett Eddy, and Johnny Lee. In addition to the roast, entertainment includes the tribute to Michael
DePasquale, Sr., the Living Legend awards, Tournament Director recognition,
Sport Karate Demonstration Team Grand Championship, a show by performers
